Zonal is a UK-based, family-owned connected technology provider, helping more than 16,000 hospitality and leisure businesses to improve their customer’s experience.

With more than 100 strategic technology partners, their seamless integrations deliver more data, more insight, and more control. Zonal’s solutions are purpose-built for the hospitality industry, benefiting small independents and large chains alike. Their products include online ordering systems, reservation systems, EPoS, customer engagement solutions etc.

Our response

Grin was chosen to design an engaging video for new recruits to watch, as a part of a newly revamped and updated onboarding process for the team at Zonal.

We worked from beginning to end on all aspects of the creative process, from initial storyboard design, to interviewing staff, organising the shoot and producing a wide selection of employee interviews. As a part of this process we organised and directed the shoot at the Zonal head office in order to capture interviews with employees and footage of the office space.

It was paramount that we made the most of our time at the Zonal head office to capture as much as possible. This new footage was put to use quicker than expected as it was felt the archive footage lacked the appeal and vigour of our newly directed footage at Zonal HQ, so we soon had an exciting and engaging new view into the Zonal culture and business, perfect to quickly communicate to new recruits what an exciting and dynamic place Zonal is to work and thrive.

From all this raw footage Grin then put together a punchy, engaging video that captured the culture of Zonal, whilst explaining the services and products Zonal offer. Through a mixture of delightful transitions, an energetic pace, as well as infographics explaining some of the Zonal setup, we delivered on the brief with an information laden, welcoming and lively video.
